Located in the Hermitage Hotel, ground floor, this increible museum showcases the history of the Mount Cook region with transport, climbing and Sir Edmund Hillary exhibits. There's also an exhibit on the Hermitage, an iconic alpine hotel (3rd building after floods and fires destroyed previous locations) - with a history spanning over 140 years. The museum is a "must do" attraction for visitors staying at the hotel or exploring the famous Aoraki- National park (world-heritage site).
